The Public Institution Rokiškis Primary Healthcare Centre is a public healthcare provider established within the Lithuanian National Health System using the assets of the Rokiškis District Municipality. It provides healthcare services to patients under contracts and in accordance with the licences granted to the institution. The institution is a non-profit public legal entity with limited civil liability, established to serve the public interest in the field of healthcare.

Main objective: To reduce morbidity and mortality by delivering accessible, high-quality personal healthcare services that comply with contemporary medical and nursing standards and good practice.

 

In pursuit of its objectives, the institution engages in activities permitted by law, in accordance with the Classification of Economic Activities approved by the Department of Statistics under the Government of the Republic of Lithuania:

  • general medical practice activities (86.21);
  • specialist medical practice activities (86.22);
  • dental practice activities (86.23);
  • provision of services by mid-level healthcare personnel outside hospitals (86.90.10);
  • medical laboratory activities (86.90.30).

 

The institution’s activities cover the organisation and delivery of personal healthcare services, as authorised by the institution’s licences.

In addition, the institution may carry out other lawful activities, such as:

  • economic and commercial operations;
  • improving staff working conditions and wellbeing;
  • improving patient care conditions;
  • organising conferences, seminars and trainings;
  • other personal service activities not elsewhere classified;
  • activities related to attracting specialists necessary for the institution’s operations.

 

Where required by law, the Institution may carry out certain activities only upon obtaining the relevant licence issued in accordance with statutory procedures, and must hold all licences and permits prescribed by law as conditions for its operations
