About us
The Public Institution Rokiškis Primary Healthcare Centre (hereinafter the Centre) was established in 1998. The founder of the Centre is the Rokiškis District Municipal Council.
Goal: To reduce morbidity and mortality among the population by providing accessible, high-quality primary healthcare services that meet the standards of modern medicine and nursing science and good practice.
Vision: An economically strong primary healthcare centre that meets European Union requirements, competes effectively, fulfils staff expectations, and meets patient needs by delivering preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic primary healthcare services.
Mission: To provide high-quality outpatient personal healthcare services in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring patients’ rights and the confidentiality of their information.
Strategic directions: To modernise services by improving quality and access, increase operational efficiency, and continuously strengthen staff competence and motivation. We emphasise professional competence, respect for patients and colleagues, constructive collaboration, goal-oriented work, and results evaluation. Particular attention is given to maternal and child health and to prevention.
The Centre provides primary healthcare services at the Rokiškis Outpatient Clinic, the Juodupė, Obeliai and Pandėlys local outpatient clinics, and at family doctors‘ practices in Jūžintai, Laibgaliai and Panemunėlis. The Centre provides licensed services as specified in its agreement with the National Health Insurance Fund.
More than 18,000 district residents are registered with the Centre. Services are provided by 110 staff, including 14 family doctors, 4 paediatricians, 2 internal medicine physicians, 2 obstetrician-gynaecologists, 1 surgeon, 4 dentists, and 2 dental hygienists. Nursing care is provided by 28 general practice nurses, 2 midwives, 2 dental assistants, 1 social worker, and the Outpatient Nursing Services at Home team (ASPN).
Diagnostics and programmes: All necessary laboratory tests are available. We provide directly observed treatment, short-course (DOTS) for tuberculosis, diabetes nurse consultations, and family counselling for pregnant women and new mothers until their child reaches two years of age.
Data and information systems: Patients’ health data are processed in the Electronic Health Services and Collaboration Infrastructure (ESPBI) information system in accordance with legal requirements.
The following bodies operate within the Centre: Supervisory Board, Medical Council, Nursing Council, Works Council, Internal Clinical Audit Unit, Medical Ethics Commission, and Anti-Corruption Commission.
